Bluegrass for your pleasure

It all started when Lars Blom gathered some old friends for a bluegrass workshop at the Swedish championship in country music 2007. 

 

This first version of  pre-Grassride contained:

Lars Blom, Mandolin

Tommy Backström, Dobro

Mats Haglund, Banjo

Daniel Höglund, Bass

Lars Lissola, Guitar

Håkan Nordgren, Guitar

 

This temporary group was very appreciated and thoughts of making it permanent appeared.

The hunt for a bass player that lived in a more practical distance started and young talented Patrik Backlund was recruited after a tip from Peter Fröbom.

 

Our good buddy Lars Blom desided to put the mandolin on the shelf after Gränna Bluegrass and Oldtime festival. At the same time we got the news that we’ve been nominated for the Swedish championship in country music in the bluegrass category.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingemar Back was drafted and it was a perfect match, and in a short time we assembled a new set of songs for the competition.

 

At our one year anniversary we had the great honor of winning the bluegrass category at the Swedish championship of country music.
