Mats Haglund lives in Järlåsa outside 

Uppsala, but he's born in Dalarna.

Mats plays on a Huber banjo.

Mats is one of the veterans in the Swedish 

bluegrass.
Together with his brothers and the Blom brothers they formed Bluegrass Swedes in

the early seventies.

Mats has since played with amongst 

other Flatland pickers, Black Creek, 

Weeds, JABB, Dough Bite, etc

Mats are among the foremost banjo 

picker in the country and are happy to givelessons.

Furthermore, Mats is an avid cyclist and 

has cycled to Oslo on a tandem bike with afriend, but nothing Mats recommend!
